Three tool walls — wood on the left, metal at the back, leather on the right, with enough open floor between the benches that nobody is working on top of anyone else.

Where the work happens

The Studio

One shop floor, three disciplines. Wood, metal, and leather work side by side rather than in separate rooms — a lot of the best pieces come from that overlap.

Zoom out

Where your MiniShop sits in the studio.

Two ways to read the 40′ × 60′ studio — a scaled plan of the whole floor with the rental MiniShop highlighted in copper, and roof-off renders of the same space.

Two exterior doors, two different jobs. The steel service door at the back belongs to the dust-and-fume room — it swings out onto a concrete stoop beside the rolling waste cart, so dust bags, sawdust, and metal offcuts leave the building without being carried back across the shop floor. The glazed exit door on the left wall sits directly behind the ADA accessible restroom, under a lit red EXIT sign, and is the second way out of the front of house — retail, the office, the restroom, the classroom, and the MiniShop all reach it without passing the wood, metal, or leather stations. The front entry stays the everyday way in and out. The last two renders below show each door up close.

The copper-highlighted 14′ × 10′ bay at the front right is the rental MiniShop, beside the classroom and off the shared entry vestibule. Retail with its register and the office sit front left, with the ADA restroom off the entry and an exterior exit door on the left wall right behind it. Wood, metal, and leather run along the back, with the full-width dust-and-fume room behind them — cyclone collector, duct runs to each station, and its own exterior service door.
Roof-off aerial 3D render of the whole 40 by 60 foot SoulCraft Studio showing retail with a checkout register, a glass-walled office, an ADA accessible restroom, a front classroom, the rental MiniShop outlined in glowing copper, the wood, metal, and leather stations along the back wall, and spiral ducts with flexible extraction hoses dropping from the back dust-and-fume room. Two exterior doors are visible: a solid steel service door in the back wall of the dust-and-fume room, hinged to swing outward onto a concrete stoop where a rolling waste cart is parked, and a glazed exterior exit door in the left side wall directly behind the ADA restroom, under a lit red EXIT sign.
The whole studio, roof off — MiniShop outlined in copperWalk in the front and you land between retail and the classroom, with the ADA accessible restroom off the entry and the rental MiniShop immediately to your right. Trace the extraction hoses overhead from the dust-and-fume room down to the table saw, the welding fume arm, and the leather bench. Two exterior doors: a steel service door in the back wall of the dust-and-fume room that swings out to a concrete stoop and waste cart, so dust bags and metal offcuts leave the building without crossing the shop floor, and a glazed exit door in the left side wall right behind the ADA restroom, under a lit EXIT sign, as the second way out of the front of house.
The same roof-off aerial render of the SoulCraft Studio without the copper MiniShop highlight, showing retail and register, the office, the ADA restroom, the classroom, the wood, metal, and leather stations, and the overhead extraction ducting. Both exterior doors stay visible: the steel service door swinging out of the back wall of the dust-and-fume room onto its concrete stoop beside the waste cart, and the glazed exit door in the left side wall behind the ADA restroom under its lit red EXIT sign.
Same view, highlight offThe same render without the copper outline, so nothing sits on top of the floor while you look around. Both exterior doors still read clearly — the steel service door swinging out the back of the dust-and-fume room onto its stoop beside the waste cart, and the glazed exit door in the left side wall behind the ADA restroom under its lit EXIT sign.
Roof-off aerial render of the SoulCraft Studio seen from above and behind the back wall, with the dust-and-fume room and its cyclone collector, spiral trunk ducts and drop hoses in front of the wood, metal and leather stations. In the back exterior wall a solid steel service door is hinged open and swinging outward onto a lit concrete stoop, with a rolling metal waste cart parked beside it.
Rear angle — dust room service doorThe back of the building, straight on. This is the back-of-house route: the steel service door in the dust-and-fume room swings out onto its own concrete stoop with the waste cart parked right outside, so dust bags, sawdust, and metal offcuts leave here instead of coming back through the shop. Wood, metal, and leather sit just inside, tied to the trunk lines overhead.
Roof-off aerial render of the SoulCraft Studio seen from above and beyond the left side wall, showing the tiled ADA accessible restroom with grab bars just inside that wall, the glass-walled office and retail shelving at the front, and the wood, metal and leather stations receding toward the back. In the left exterior wall directly behind the restroom, a glazed exit door with a metal push bar swings out to a small concrete pad under a lit red EXIT sign.
Left-side angle — exit doorThe left side of the building. This is the front-of-house route: the glazed exit door sits directly behind the ADA accessible restroom — push bar, concrete pad, lit red EXIT sign above it — giving retail, the office, the restroom, the classroom, and the MiniShop a second way out without crossing the shop floor.

Answers before you book

MiniShop FAQ

Do I need my own tools?

No. Wood, metal, and leather benches come stocked with the core hand and power tools listed above. Bring your own materials, consumables, and any specialty tooling you prefer to work with.

What tools are off‑limits to first‑timers?

Table saw, welder, and plasma cutter require a signed orientation and a supervised first pass. Everything else opens up once you complete the MiniShop Orientation Checklist.

What safety gear is required?

Eye protection at all times, hearing protection near power tools, and closed‑toe shoes. Respirators and welding hoods are provided; long hair must be tied back and loose sleeves rolled.

I’ve never made anything before — is the MiniShop for me?

Yes. First‑time makers start with a guided walkthrough, a small starter project, and a bench neighbor who can answer questions. The Project Ideas section above is a good place to pick your first build.

How long should I book for my first visit?

Plan on three hours: about forty minutes for orientation and setup, then working time, then cleanup. Weekend blocks suit larger wood and metal builds.

Can I leave a project in progress?

Short‑term shelf storage is available for active projects between sessions. Benches must be cleared and swept at the end of every booking.
